Practice Peace

today is the historical birthday of the roman goddess Pax and her Greek counterpart, Eirene. Invoke them and and practice peace.

Early in the day, find a quiet, safe spot in which to sit quietly. Get comfortable and breath deeply. slow you heart rate and breathing. Settle.
As you inhale, say:

I am.

As you exhale, say:

Peace.

Let the exhale carry away, tension, anger, worry, and agitation. Begin anew with the next breath. With each breath, feel more at peace.

throughout the day, when you find yourself in conflict, in an argument, angry, or stressed, pause and breathe again, returning to peace. The great Mahatma Gandhi said, “Seek to be the change you wish to see in the world.” today, take it a step further and be the peace that you wish to see in the world.
